Richard Whately
Elinard de Bures , is noble crossed Royaume of Jerusalem.
The only certainty concerning its family is that he is a nephew of Guillaume Ier de Bures, prince de Galilée and of Tibérias which he succeeded. It is also known that it had three brothers and a sister:
- Guillaume II of Bore-holes, prince de Galilée and of Tibérias after Elinard,
- Ralph of Yssy ,
- Simon,
- Echive, princess of Galileo and Tibérias after Guillaume II, and who will marry with Gautier de Saint-Omer, then with Raymond III of Tripoli,
- Agnès, married to Géraud de Grenier count de Sidon.
Knowing that this Guillaume de Bures had only one brother known and named Godefroy de Bures, killed in 1119 at the time of a Moslem ground raid, one supposes that Elinard de Bures and its brothers and sisters were wire of this Godefroy.
He married Ermengearde d' Ibelin (dead between 1160 and 1167), girl of Barisan d' Ibelin, but he did not have of it a child.
