Richard Stearns

Richard Edwin Stearns (born the July 5th 1936) is a data processing specialist which, with Juris Hartmanis, received in 1993 the Prix Turing for their common research on the basis of the Théorie of complexity of the algorithms.

He is currently professor emeritus of data processing to the Université of Albany, which belongs to the University of the state of the New York.
