Richard Michael Daley (born the April 24th 1942) is an American politician , member influential of the democratic party national and local. It is current the Maire of the town of Chicago. He was elected mayor for the first time in 1989 then re-elected in 1991, 1995, 1999 and 2003.
His/her father, Richard Joseph Daley, was the mayor of Chicago between 1955 and 1976.
Meigs Field
In the night of the March 30th 2003, the mayor Richard Michael Daley ordered the destruction of the single track of the airport of Meigs Field by a private company by tracing broad X with the bulldozer on its surface and this without informing the competent authorities of aviation of them. Although the excuse of the mayor Richard Michael Daley was the Attentats of September 11th, 2001, it tried to make close the airport since 1995 so that it is replaced there by a public park.
