Richard Luce

Richard Napier Luce, Baron Luce Knight Grand Cross of the royal Order of Victoria, member of the the Private Council of the Sovereign of the United Kingdom ( Privy Council off the United Kingdom ) (born in 1936) is a British courtier, and formerly member of the Parlement of the United Kingdom (MP) of preserving ideology and also minister of government.

He studied with the Wellington College, and the Christ' S College (Cambridge), then with the Université of Cambridge. He achieved his national service with Cyprus 1955-57. He then joined the civil service of overseas, initially as an officer with Kenya, 1960-62. He then worked for Gallaher Ltd as a director of mark (1963-65), before becoming director of sale for Spirella Company of Great Britain. In 1968-71 he was director of the national center of innovation.

From 1972-79 he was president of IFA Consultants Ltd, he was also member of the directory of Selenex Ltd (1973-79), and of Courtenay Stewart international (1975-79).

Richard Luce became a member of Parliament (MP) preserving in the House of Commons in 1971. He withdrew himself in 1992. He was named Parliamentary Private Secretary near the Minister Commercial and Businesses concerning the consumers in 1972. In 1974, when the government lost the elections, it went in the opposition.

When the conservative party is with the capacity in 1979, it became parliamentary Sous-Secrétaire of State for Defense ( Parliamentary Under Secretary off State ) for the Foreign Office and of the the Commonwealth. In 1981 it was promoted Minister of state in the same department. In 1982 it followed its Secretary of State, Lord Carrington, in the resignation because of the Argentinian invasion of the Falklands. However it returned in 1983, still as a Minister of state in Foreign Office and for the Commonwealth. In 1985 it was moved with the Privy Council Office as Ministre for Arts, who was his last ministerial office. He resigned in 1990.

He left the Parliament in 1992. He was adoubé in 1991. He is member of the Privy Council off the United Kingdom since 1986. Richard Luce was vice-president of the Université of Buckingham between 1992 and 96. In 1997, it was named Gouverneur of Gibraltar, leaving its station in 2000 when it was named Life Peer, Chevalier Grand Cross of the Ordre royal of Victoria and become Lord Chamberlain near Elisabeth II, Senior official of the Royal Household of the the United Kingdom.
