Richard Henry Beddome
Colonel Richard Henry Beddome is a soldier and a British Naturaliste , born the May 11th 1830 and dead the February 23rd 1911.
He enters the army of the Indies in 1848. In 1857, he becomes conservative-assistant with the service of the forests of Madras, then in 1860, conservative as a chief, function which he preserves until in 1882. He becomes member of the university of Madras in 1880.
He makes many herborizings in India and with Ceylon.
He makes appear off Trees Madras Presidency in 1863 and Handbook off the ferns off British India, Ceylon and Malaya Peninsula in 1892.
He studies also the Reptiles, the Amphibians and the molluscs.
