Richard Francis Gordon Junior known as Dick Gordon is a American Astronaute born the October 5th 1929 with Seattle.
Biography
After a diploma of chemistry obtained at the university of Washington obtained in 1951, Gordon engaged in the US Navy and obtained its wings of Pilote in 1953. In 1957, it became Test pilot. It was recruited by NASA in 1963, in the third group of astronauts.
Flights carried out
- September 12th 1966: he is the pilot of the flight Gemini 11
- November 14th 1969: he is the pilot of the module of order of Apollo 12, second mission depositing of the men on the Moon.
Gordon had been designed to steal on the mission Apollo 18, finally cancelled by NASA.
