Richard Fletcher , priest Anglican.
It was charged in 1587 to accompany Marie Stuart with the scaffold, and showed against this queen a fanatic animosity. When the head had been sliced, he exclaimed: " Perishes thus all the enemies of Elisabeth " .
II was made, in reward of its zeal, bishop of Bristol, then of London. However he died disgraced, in 1596. This priest had married twice. His/her son is the playwright John Fletcher.
