Richard Escot
Richard Escot is journalist with the Team magazine . It was born with La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), on September 20th 1959.
Biography
Graduate of psychology of the University of Poitiers, it takes part in 1981 in the adventure of the free radios, with the microphone of Atlantic FM .After a short passage to the University of journalism of Paris, it is engaged in 1982 with RMC, in the capacity as assistant of production of variety programmes. Former junior of the Stade rochelais and team-member first Stade poitevin (the second division), his passion remains the Rugby. In 1984, it collaborates in Drop International , one of first monthly magazines of oval ball then, the following year, publishes with its accomplice Jacques Rivière, Rugby in the center (ED. Jacques-Grancher), deliver-worship near impassioned play of attack to the Frenchwoman .
It enters in 1985 at the heading Rugby of the sporting daily newspaper the Team, and becomes international reporter in 1991. Member of Anglo-Saxon the Association of the journalists and writers of Rugby , it is named assistant of the heading Rugby, station which it occupies between 1996 and 2000.
He joined then the drafting of the Team magazine , in load of Rugby, the Formule 1 and the Car rally. Since 2006, it also collaborates in Rugby Hebdo , in the capacity as chronicler.
Regarded as one of the best specialists in international Rugby, Richard Escot wrote several biographies, of which those of Philippe Sella (ED. Solar, 1995), of Philippe Saint-Andrew (ED. Calmann-Levy, 1999) and of Abdelatif Benazzi (ED. Flammarion, 2005) prefaced by Nelson Mandela, a book of discussions with Jean-Pierre Banks (ED. Martinière, 2003), and also several encyclopedias and detective novels. Its work, Hundred years of blue Rugby (ED. Solar, 2005) was prefaced by Jean Prat, and constitutes the last testimony of legendary the Mister Rugby .
