Richard Di Martino

Richard Di Martino is a French draftsman of Cartoon, born in 1971.

Biography

Richard Di Martino fell into the cartoon very small with Pif Gadget, Spirou and Tintin, it is as of more the young age that it decides to make his trade of it.

After a very average schooling, it moves towards studies of graphics in publicity. He then works during years in various agencies of communication to make models of catalogs of voyages or plumbing in front of a computer.

In 1998, it integrates a studio of animation which had opened on Marseilles, and there works 2 years and half at the station of story boardor. Story board proving to be very close to the data base it learns much from technical tricks on the heap, and this period enables him to improve. It is as over there as it becomes acquainted with the other members of the future Zarmatelier.

In 1999, it started to work on the first album of the series Malek Sliman. Initially all alone, while working with the studio of animation then on a scenario of Bruno Falba.

In March 2001, it joins the creation of the Zarmatelier Bruno Bessadi, Thomas Allart, Eric Stoffel, Yann Valéani, Olivier Thomas, then Von Nitram, Ahmed Nasri and Domas. This workshop plays the part of a genuine engine for them, the ideas and projects not missing.

In 2002, it carries out short stories for Semic with Eric Stoffel, appeared in the pockets " Yuma" n° 6&7, and of the specific jobs for the newspaper of Spirou.

Since 2003, he works on a new series In addition to Tombe with Jean and Simon Léturgie with the scenario, with the Vents editions of west. In 2006 it Co-realizes with Simon Léturgie, George Dandin, an adaptation in data base of 160 pages of the part of Molière for the collection Commedia.
