Richard Cocciante

Riccardo Cocciante is a Chanteur Italian born with Saigon (Vietnam) the February 20th 1946, of a father Italy N and of a mother French E. When it is eleven years old, its family settles with Rome, and it learns Italian whereas it spoke French hitherto.

Course

Nourished opera, traditional philosopher's stones, but also of Blues and Beatles, he becomes the singer with the raucous voice of the " group; The Nations" , and learns the Piano as an autodidact

In 1972 it leaves to Italy its first album " Mu" , adapted soon in French followed " Poesia". Success comes one year later to Italy then to Spain with the song " Senz' anima" bleated; , extracted the album " Anima" arranged by the type-setter of film musics, Ennio Morricone.

In 1978, it carries out the album " Concerto per Margherita" (" Concierto por Margarita" bound for Spain and of the Latin America, " Concerto for Marguerite" in vf), in collaboration with Vangelis for arrangements.

The song " Marguerite" hang the French public.

In 1979, the meeting of Riccardo Cocciante with Jean-Paul Dreau is marked by the fabulous success of the song " The Blow of soleil".

In 1980-1981, the album " With the Light of Your Silences" leaves on our premises with new a hit entitled " With Simplicité" while " Cervo has Primavera" is number 1 in Italy, extract of the album of the same name.

In 1983, it signs with the Virgin recording company and leaves the album " Sincerità" , recorded in Los Angeles with the group Louse. It leaves in four versions: Italian, English, Spanish and French. This last version is signed by Etienne Roda-Gil for the texts. I

In 1985, he sings " Question of feeling" with the singer Undermined Italian, then with Spanish Melissa, and Fabienne Thibeault in French.

In 1987, Riccardo Cocciante signs the song " It me rifugio" , credits of French film of Patrice Leconte " Tandem ". The following year leaves the album " Large Avventura" , recorded with London.

Riccardo Cocciante which refused until there, the large machinery of the Festival of Sanremo (obligatory passage of the trade Italian discographic and more important Italian televisual event), presents all the same in 1991 with the song “stiamo insieme” extracted the album Cocciante and gains the price to it.

The same year Catherine Lara calls upon him to incarnate the role of the type-setter Frederic Chopin on the album " Sand and romantiques" , entirely built around the personality of George Sand, woman writer Frenchwoman celebrates, whose Chopin was the lover.

In 2005, the album " leaves; Songs" , where Riccardo Cocciante sings in 4 languages: French, English, Italian and Spanish.

In 2007, Giulietta & Romeo, the musical comedy written with the lyric writer Pasquale Panella, begins with Vérone.

Judgment

In 2006, it is suspected by justice of having hidden 6 million euros to the tax department at the time of its income declaration of the year 2000. He is finally condemned with his wife to three one-year suspended sentences, 37.500 euros of fine for tax evasion and a deprivation of civil rights, civil and family for one five years duration, by the Court of appeal which confirms the decision of the Court of Appeal of Paris of the January 25th 2007.
