Richard Barrett born the November 7th 1959 with Swansea with the Wales is a type-setter of Chamber music and Musique electroacoustic which played in Europe and in the world.
Biography
Richard Barrett studies the Génétique with the University College London of 1977 with 1980, and it is for this period that it starts to compose. He studies attentively the composition with Peter Wiegold of 1980 to 1983 then comes to Darmstadt.
Among his prices, one can count on the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis At Darmstadt (1986) and the first price of the contest Gaudeamus (1989). Then, he works as a guest in Berliner Künstlerprogramm of Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (2001-02). Its work was played by Hang-Note, the quartet with Arditti cords, the orchestra of symphonic of BBC, Ensemble Cikada, Ensemble Köln, Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, and Nieuw Ensemble.
