Richard Baker, English historian, born in 1568 in the County of Kent, died in 1645, was, under Jacques Ier, large Shérif of the Comté of Oxford. One owes him a Chronique of kings d' Angleterre, since the government of the Romans, until the death of the king Jacques (1641) who had a great success.
