Riccardo Bacchelli

Riccardo Bacchelli (born the April 19th 1891 with Bologna, in Emilie-Romagna - died the October 8th 1985 with Monza) was a Italian writer 20th century.

Biography

Early and prolific writer, Riccardo Bacchelli illustrated himself in the novel, poetry, the theater, musical and literary criticism, journalism, the historical test, the account of voyages, the translation, the study of traditional Italian and foreigners.

In 1911, in twenty years, it publishes its first novel It Filo meraviglioso di Lodovico Clò . During the First World War, it fights like volunteer as an officer of Artillerie.

It creates in 1919 the literary review “ Ronda ” in which it will publish many articles.

In 1923, it leaves Bologna to settle with Florence (then with Rome). Of 1941 with 1944 he is member of the Italian Académie. After the Second world war, Riccardo Bacchelli will pour in the religious mystic who will inspire several works to him. He was also member various academies and doctor honoris causa of several universities.

Vast historical fresco reporting the history of a family, Scacerni, going from 1812 (the retirement of Russia of the Napoleonean troops) to 1918 (end of the 1st world war). The novel is divided into three parts: " Dio you salvi " , " Miseria comes in barca " and " Mondo vecchio sempre nuovo ".
