Ricardo Prado (° Andradina (), the January 3rd 1965), is a Brazilian swimmer , specialist in the tests 4 strokes. He is regarded as the largest Brazilian swimmer of the years 1980.

Biography

Ricardo Prado started to swim as of the five years age, stimulated by his/her older brothers and, two years later, it obtains its 1st national title in the test of the 50 m butterfly.

It takes part in its 1 Olympic Games in 1980, in Moscow and, with those of Los Angeles in 1984, he is money medal-holder of the test of the 400 m 4 strokes.

In 1982, at only seventeen years, he is crowned world champion of the test of the 400 meters 4 strokes, with the world records with the support.

Ricardo Prado is graduate in economy of the Southern Methodist University () of Dallas and followed a training of professor of physical education.

He worked within the organizing committee of the Pan-American Plays which were held with Rio de Janeiro 13 with the July 29th 2007.

In 2003, victim of a Infarction, it must undergo a double coronary bridging.
