Ribeira de Pena is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Villa Real and the Northern area.
Geography
Ribeira de Pena is bordering:- in north, of Boticas,
- in the east, of Villa Pouca de Aguiar,
- in the south, of Villa Real,
- in south-west, of Mondim de Basto,
- in the west, of Cabeceiras de Basto.
History
The statute of municipality was granted the September 27th 1331 by a charter of the king Alphonse IV.
