Ribeaucourt (Meuse)

Ribeaucourt is a common French, located in the department of the Meuse and the area Lorraine.

Geography

History

The Ribeaucourt toponym is the deformation of Erembauldocurtis (which comes from Eremboldus = victorious or skilful chief and of curtis who indicates a strengthened house), just like it is for the communes of Ribeaucourt in the Sum and Raimbeaucourt in North, as well as place also says Ribeaucourt to Mazinghien in the department of North.

Hiding of the nuclear waste

June 15th, 2006 was voted at the French Parliament a law on the nuclear waste promulgating the hiding as reference solution. According to the opponents of Bore-hole-stop, ANDRA prepares work for the construction of a Site of hiding on a zone of 200 km ² around Bure, whose commune of Ribeaucourt forms part.
