Ribagorza

The Ribagorce , in Spanish Ribagorza , is a Comarque of the Province of Huesca, in the North-East of the autonomous Communauté of Aragon (Spain).

History

Ribargorce formed formerly a Comté which, plain to the Sobrarbe, bore at the beginning of the 11th century the name of kingdom before being integrated in 1039 into the Royaume of Aragon into died of its single king, Gonzalve Ier de Sobrarbe.

Historical Ribagorce is divided today between the Aragon and the Catalogne (the High-Ribargorce ).

The oriental party of comarque of Ribagorce belongs to the Frange of Aragon, zone catalanophone of the Aragon.
