Rhythmic Guitar

The rhythmic Guitar , also called guitar of accompaniment, has the role to support an instrument soloist (voice, instrument solo) within an orchestra, especially in the register of the current musics (Blues, Rock, Jazz, metal, etc).

Technically, the rhythmic guitarist plates agreements and organizes the harmony of a piece. But according to the organization of the pieces and its technique, this role can evolve to that of a guitarist soloist.

The most famous rhythmic guitarists to quote are John Lennon Beatles, Joe Strummer of the Clash, Brad Whitford of Aerosmith, Freddy Green of various orchestras jazz, Jean-Louis Aubert at the time of Téléphone.
