Rhinitis

A rhinitis is the medical term to describe the irritation and the Inflammation of the Nez. The Symptôme S are a nose which runs, a small notch, congestion and irritation of the nose, eyes, throat and ears. It is often related to others Trouble S like the Asthme and the Sinusite.

The rhinitides can be allergic or not.

The allergic Rhinitis, also called chronic rhinitis, is one of the most widespread allergies. It can be Saisonnière, caused by external agents as the Pollen (the allergy to pollen is called Hay cold), or permanent, caused by Mite S, Humus, etc

The not-allergic Rhinitis, also called acute Rhinitis, is caused by emanation S, strong odors, smoke and others Polluant S. the not-allergic rhinitides can also be caused by structural problems in the nasal led , e.g of the moved walls.

The atrophic Rhinite consists of a degenerative and inflammatory disease of the nasal cavities and sines, characterized by the degeneration of fabric and the nasal cartilage, the widened nasal cavities and a total dysfunction of the remaining nasal mucous membrane. It is often accompanied by stinking odors (ozene), of crust and nosebleed.

The secondary atrophic rhinitis is a synonym of " Syndrome of the Nose Vide" (SNV), also known under the name of Empty nose syndrome (ENS). It results from the surgical ablation of an excessive quantity of nasal Cornet, operation called Turbinectomie (résection of horns).

Types

The principal types of rhinitis have a code CIM-10:

  • (J00) the rhinitis is initially divided into form Aigu chronic E and , the acute rhinitis being classified like banal Rhume.

  • (J30.0) the Rhinite vasomotrice not-allergic, and is supposed to be due to nervous disorders.
  • (J30.1-J30.4) the allergic Rhinite is one of the most current allergies. It can be seasonal, due to external agents the such Pollen (the allergy to pollen is called Hay cold), or pérennale, had with the Acariens of the Poussière domesticates, Moisissure S servants etc
  • (J31) chronic Rhinite
  • (A50) Rhinitis due to a congenital Syphilis
