Rhabdophis tigrinus

Rhabdophis tigrinus is a species of Serpent which one meets in the east of the continent of Asia of the Korean peninsula and of the Japan until the Vietnam. Glande S nucales (on the neck) release a liquid when the animal is attacked by a Prédateur (a Oiseau for example). This fluid contains Stéroïde S of the bufadiénoïdes type. These steroids would come from the Crapaud S (Bufonidae) which are the principal Proie S of these snakes, and which synthesize these Molécule S, snakes by not having the possibility. The bufadiénoïdes irritate the Muqueuse S of predatory and accelerate the Cardiac rhythm. Thus, the snakes are prevented by the predatory ones because of the unpleasant feelings that their consumption generates. On the other hand, on the Japanese island of Kinkazan, where the clamping plates are rare, the snakes have a behavior of escape rather when they are confronted with a predator. Moreover, part of the bufadiénoïdes are transmitted of the mother to the young people.
