Reynald Viel

Born with Squattec in 1953, in the Low-of-River, and raised with City-Dégelis, Reynald Viel , as of the 16 years age, worked in the building sites. By a return to the studies a few twenty-two years later, he discovered the scene in 1993, gained the collegial Marathon of writing the same year for the area Gaspésie-Low-of-River and was allowed at the University of Quebec with Three-Rivers. The following year, it gained the contest of poetry of the University of Quebec with Three-Rivers within the framework of the International festival of poetry. The gaining poems were published in the review In bulk. The same year, its first dramatic text, the price of silence , was assembled to the House of the culture of Three-Rivers. The writing and the scene then took all the place. It was the first choice of the Company of the writers of Mauricie to the contest of sponsorship in 1996 and was twinned with Normand Canac-Marquis for the writing of Crépuscule for the paddle . Stock-broker of the CALQ in 1997, it cofondé the same year, with Martin Paré, the Productions of the Words… Céans. After having signed the setting in scene of the Round of Lonelinesses to the theater Eskabel in January 2001, it takes part for the second year in the Laboratories of the AQAD of 2001. Its part the last return was published in the Editions of Glanures de Shawinigan. Very productive author, about half of his dramatic work was ridden and introduced in areas.

Dramatic author, director and actor of trade, Reynald Viel signed more than thirty plays and at least as many settings in scene. Member, inter alia, of the Québécois Association of the Dramatic authors (AQAD), its settings in scene travelled of the Low-of-River to Montreal.
