Revolution texane
The Révolution texane is held October 2nd 1835 with the April 21st 1836. She opposes the Mexico and Texas (or Tejas ), left the Mexican state of Coahuila there Tejas.
Context
After the abolition of slavery in 1829, by the president Vicente Guerrero, the animosity of the colonists of the Texas of American origin, who form 85% of the population, does not cease developing towards presidents Guerrero, Bocanegra, Vélez, Bustamante, Muzquiz, Gomez Pedraza, Gomez Farias, Santa Anna, Barragan, Corroen, who follow one another of 1829 to 1837 the governments of Mexico City.October 23rd, 1835, under the presidency of Miguel Barragan, a centralist Constitution inspired by Santa Anna, made federate States of simple departments directed from Mexico City. The States de Zacatecas and the texane part of Coahuila are declared independent.
The conflict
The war bursts in Texas on October 1st 1835 with the Bataille of Gonzales. After the victories with Bahia and San Antonio the Texians are demolished at the same places, a few months later.The April 21st 1836, to the Battle of San Jacinto, the general Sam Houston leads the army of Texas to the victory against part of the Mexican army of the general Santa Anna who will be captured shortly after the battle.
Consequences
Although threatened of collapse, the République of Texas east creates. She will not be never recognized by the Mexican government and will remain constantly under the threat of an invasion of Mexico.In 1845, Texas will be finally annexed by the the United States and it is not before the américano-Mexican Guerre of 1846 with 1848 that the Question texane will be definitively regulated.
