Revolution indonésienne
Indonésiens call Revolusi the 4 years period of armed confrontation and diplomatic fight between the Republic of Indonesia, which proclaims its independence the August 17th 1945, and the Netherlands, which wants to recover its old colony, that it had to give up with the unloading of the Japanese in 1942. The conflict will end with the formal transfer the December 27th 1949 of sovereignty on the territory of the the Indies Dutchwomen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to a République of the United States of Indonesia created on December 14th.
This period is as that of a radical transformation of the traditional company indonésienne, as the colonial order had solidified. It is thus legitimate to qualify it revolution.
However, the first president of the Republic, Soekarno, will consider in years 1960 that this revolution is not finished.
