Revolt of Shays
The revolt of Shays ( Shays' Rebellion ) is an armed rising which took place in the west of the Massachusetts of August 1786 in February 1787. The rebels, carried out by Daniel Shays and known under the name of Shaysites or Regulators were small farmers revolted by their debt and the increase in the taxes.
