Revenue stamp

The revenue stamp is a mark or a figurine intended to prove that one managed paid well with a community (State, department, commune, or autonomous State) certain categories of taxes or taxes.

There currently exists in two forms:

• the Stamped paper or fixed revenue stamp, the oldest form,
• the mobile Revenue stamp.

One can bring closer the socio-postal Timbre to it which is used to note the payment of a social contribution by the employees and employers. This contribution guarantees to paid retirement or sickness benefit. However, as it does not imply any counterpart for the employer, it revêt thus in its connection a special taxation character. The stamps noting such payments can thus find place in a tax stamp collection. But, as these figurines were also printed and sold by the post office, they can also appear in a collection of postage stamps.
