Reuss

The Reuss is a river of Suisse, long 158 km, tributary of the Aar (Right Bank). It is the fourth Swiss river for its length, after the the Rhine, the Aar and the the Rhone.
Reuss is born in the solid mass from the Aar-Gothard, close to the collar of the Saint Gothard, with the altitude of 2431 meters. It forms the valley of Andermatt then joined the Lac of the Four Cantons from where it arises with Lucerne. It continues towards north, joining the Aar little before its confluence with the Limmat. Its average annual flow with Mellingen was of 130 m3 S -1 in 2004.
