Return towards the future

Retour towards the future ( Back to the Future , often shortened BTTF ) is a film of Robert Zemeckis left in 1985. It is about the first shutter of a trilogy, continued with Retour towards future II and Retour towards future III .

Synopsis

Marty McFly, teenager of the Years 1980, is disappointed by its marital status: his/her brother is a young worker, his/her Lorraine mother drinks much and especially his/her timid father is crushed unceasingly in front of his chief Biff Tannen. Marty has as a friend an extravagant scientist, Doctor Emmett Brown, known as “Doc.”. This last develop a machine with to travel in time, a car Delorean DMC-12 modified. But it is assassinated to have misled in the Libyan terrorists, and Marty, to escape, gets into the car and is found projected involuntarily in 1955, in Hill Valley…

At that time, it will cross his parents, who are not married yet, and accidentally will prevent their meeting, his mother falling in love with him, which even compromises its existence (it is an alternative of the Paradoxe of the grandfather or Oedipus complex ).

With the assistance of Doc. of 1955, Marty finally manages to cause the meeting between his/her parents and to return in 1985 by using the energy of the lightning to make function the machine which is private of electricity, for lack of plutonium. Emmett " Doc" Brown, a predestined name

The first name of the character of Emmett " Doc" Brown, the inventor of the machine to travel in the time interpreted by Christopher Lloyd, is judiciously selected. It corresponds to the word English time (“time”), put at the back and broken up into two syllables (" EM-It").

A saga become an attraction

Strong of its success, the saga Retour towards the future was declined in attraction in the park of the studios Universal, with Los Angeles. Created in 1991 and entitled Back to the future… The Wrinkles , this attraction takes along the visitors in a voyage through various times, with the continuation of Biff Tannen. The original idea

The idea of Retour towards the future came in Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale whereas they wondered how could have been held their meeting with their own parents. Starting from this starting point, they imagine the temporal adventures of Marty McFly. Adventures which will pass by various modifications… Thus, for example, the voyage in time was initially to be done via a Réfrigérateur modified. The idea was quickly given up, the authors fearing that the children do not try to be locked up in their turns in their refrigerators…

Clint Eastwood

In Return towards future III , Marty Mc Fly is constrained to re-elect “Clint Eastwood” for kasher sound true name with its ancestors who collected it (Seamus and Maggie McFly). The originators of film had not envisaged to make a continuation for Retour towards the future . Moreover, DeLorean flying of the end of the first opus was in the beginning only one joke. Zemeckis and Gale had much evil to build a continuation.
