The resvératrol is a Molécule present in abundance in the Vin, the Mûre S and the Cacahuète S. One allots to him beneficial effects, such as a protective action against the Cancer, or an antiviral effect, neuroprotector, anti-age or anti-inflammatory drug, noted In vivo on the Souris.

The resvératrol is present in the skin of the red Raisin and is one of the components of the grape juice or the red wine, but apparently in insufficient quantity to explain the French Paradoxe (with being known that the incidence of cardiac pathologies is weaker in the south of the France, in spite of a food mode rich in saturated greases.

Health

Studies tend to show that the resvératrol can prevent or delay cancer, cardiac failures and the Diabète at the Mammifère S. However, the quantities to be managed with human are enormous (100 Mg for human of 75 kg). The studies thus continue on the effects of the resvératrol on health.

Plants and food

The resvératrol is produced by several plants, apparently for its antifongic properties. One finds it in the Raisin (mainly skin), the raspberries, the ripe , the groundnuts, the bays of the kind Vaccinium (Airelle, Myrtille, Canneberge), some pines… the resvératrol was isolated for the first time starting from an extract from Peruvian vegetable Cassia quinquangulata in 1974.
