Prehistory
Like traces notorious prehistoric life , one finds the Menhir known as of Pierre acute very close to the borough, in a private property to 700 m of D176, in the street of the Mussel beds.This menhir of pyramidal form, inserted in the ground on 50 cm and of imposing size (height above the ground: approximately 2 m; width: idem; and thickness: 1,8 m) were registered with the historic buildings on May 14th, 1993. Built with the Neolithic , it would not be the result of the work of the man, but rather a block of sandstone kept such as it is by the man, who then adapted it like menhir.
The Middle Ages
The existence of Resson is certified as of the medium of the IX {{E}} century.It remains there of humble vestiges of bottom Moyen-âge: those of a rural Commanderie of the Templiers to the direction of march of Fouchères and street Saint Nicolas's Day, where would have met secretly, says one, Thibaud IV of Champagne and his/her aunt, Blanche of Castille… These vestiges is:
- on the one hand a home restored, made up of a square building on three levels (a ground floor, a stage and roofs under frame) and flanked of two turns;
- in addition a Vault under the term of Holy-Madeleine, built with the XII {{E}} century and with the second quarter of the XIII {{E}} century and registered since March 12th, 1930 with the additional inventory of the historic buildings for the chorus and Romance Gate of old the Nave. This one is threatened of disappearance because since centuries, it undergoes pressures and stretchings because of its construction on a made artificial sand brought back limestones mound.
A feudal family of the name of Resson existed in XIIe century. One sees several members of them appearing in the area (Payen, Manassès, Pierre… of Resson), but one could not affirm that all had the Seigneurie place.
XIXe century
Small a laundrette restored, with the direction of march of Saulsotte and street of the Mussel beds, testifies in particular to this time. It is the second laundrette of the commune of Saulsotte (the other being located in the village even of Saulsotte).
