Reserve funds for the retirements

The Fonds of concerning the Retirements (FRR) is a Fonds of investment French founded in 1999 by the finance law of the social security to ensure with an amount of capitalization the perenniality of the French system of Retraite by distribution. They is funds of investment, sometimes considered as a Fonds sovereign.

The initial intention is to gradually carry these funds to 150 billion from here 2020 but it has currently only 33 billion €, for several reasons:

  • the funds has not been abounded any more since 2002 and the sale of the Crédit Lyonnais, the receipts of privatization for summer having assigned mainly to the degearing of the State.
  • the other awaited receipts zero or lower than were envisaged (Surplus of the pension funds which was finally transformed into deficit or sale of one 4th license UMTS ever buckled).

The funds released an annual performance of average of 9,9% since its creation. The funds does not manage however directly the funds but entrusts mandates to financial companies at the end of invitations to tender, in accordance with the law of July 17th, 2001.
