Research department
A research department is, as its name indicates it, the place where in a general way the studies of products of a company are led. It can be located within the production site (majority case of small and average the Entreprise S) or be a building with whole share (cases of many Multinationale S). In her center a whole team of engineers and technicians conceive whole of parts to arrive at a product (a Automobile for example). To the research department are led all theoretical calculations: Mechanical resistance of the parts in , performances in Data-processing…
Team work is paramount in a research department in order to join together the specialities. For a Plane for example, one needs specialists in mechanics, electronics, data processing, ergonomics… With the wire of advanced study, meetings take place to appreciate the projection of work.
Data processing is increasingly present in the research departments. The Computer-aided design in mechanics, of the software of simulation in electronics. Thus the studies are shorter and thus less expensive.
Finally the speakers in research department must always keep an eye on the means of manufacture because to imagine it is well, capacity to carry out it is better. Moreover, not to respect the manufacturing standards, it is to waste time (since the manufacturer will not be able to make) and thus money.
