Research center in data processing and right

The CRID , Data-processing and Right Research center, fact part of the Faculty of Law of Namur, in Belgium. Founded by Yves Chicken in 1979, it was one of the first research centres specialized in right of the data processing of Europe.

Its research fields cover all the aspects of the right of data processing, even if the relative importance of such or such field fluctuated with time. At present, the Center breaks up into five cells, each one representing a field of research. These cells thus examine the legal aspects of the following subjects:

Private life
Intellectual property
Technology and safety
Télécoms

the whole being brought back to the context of the Company of contemporary information.

Undertaken research is several natures: basic research, doctoral research, contracts of order for Belgian or European institutions etc, applied research, etc
