Republican socialist Union
The republican socialist Union (USR) is created in 1935 by the regrouping of three parties located at the right wing of SFIO:
- the French Socialist party (PSF)
- the Socialist party of France-Union Jean Jaurès (PSdF)
- the Left republican-Socialist (PRS)
The USR takes part in the coalition of Popular front in 1936 as with the government which is resulting from its victory. Entered in sleep in 1940, the USR is not reconstituted with the Libération. The majority of its members turn over to the SFIO from which they result, following the example Paul Ramadier and Joseph Paul-Boncour, or join RGR. Others, primarily resulting from the current known as " néo-socialiste" of Marcel Déat, are condemned for facts of collaboration.
