Recent evolutions

This organization federates the majority of great Jewish associations of France. This representativeness is disputed by association French Jewish Union for peace (UJFP).

Between 2000 and 2005, CRIF strongly recalled that the fight against the Antisémitisme is a national fight . Roger Cukierman inter alia declared on RTL that “ the Jews are the sentinels of the Republic and the values of the Republic. We are with the avant-garde. When one attacks the Jews, little time after one attacks freedom, with the democracy ”.

But that led CRIF to be caught of it with part of the left, shown collusion with the extreme-right-hand side as at the time of a dinner of CRIF, on January 27th, 2003, during which Roger Cukierman denounced a “alliance brown-green-red” anti-semite, causing the departure of the room of Gilles Lemaire, national secretary of the Verts.

CRIF was also caught some with Raymond Barre which he shows “ to join the extreme line ”, this last having denounced a “ Jewish Lobby, able to assemble unworthy operations ”.

CRIF gave an opinion in favor of the Barrière of Israeli separation built in Israel and in the Occupied territories.

Operation

CRIF is composed of the following bodies:
  1. an Executive office,
  2. a management Committee,
  3. of the specific Commissions,
  4. a General meeting representing all associations members,
  5. Regional sections.

The president of CRIF is elected by the General meeting for a 3 years mandate, renewable only once.
