Renshen

The renshen , or jen-chen (Chinese traditional and simplified: zh-Hant 壬申; Pinyin: rénshēn ) is the ninth element of the sexagesimal Cycle Chinese. It is preceded by the Xinwei and is followed by the Guiyou .

With the celestial Tige ren is associated the yáng and the element Eau, and with the terrestrial Branche shen , the yáng, the element Métal, and the sign of the monkey. In the symbolic system of the five elements, the renshen thus corresponds to the “metal which gives rise to water. ”
