Renny Ottolina

Renaldo Jose Ottolina Pinto (Valencia, December 11th 1928 - Caracas, March 16th 1978), known like Renny Ottolina , was a presenter of television programs and radio, publicity agent and politician Venezuelan. Ottolina obtained an important success with its television program “ El Show of Renny ”, where it developed a single style of presenter and organizer. This success was used to him as political springboard to be presented in the form of a candidate to the presidential elections of 1978, which Luís Herrera Campíns gained. He died during an air crash in full presidential campaign. One knows it like “ the number one of television vénézuélienne ”.

Ottolina was a sour critic of the political parties in place in Venezuela in the years 1960 and 1970. It founded the Mouvement party of National Integration (MIN), whose symbol was the glasses of the presenter.

His/her daughter, Rhona Ottolina, were candidate with the presidency and member of the Congress.
