History

Malmsheim
Malmsheim is mentioned in documents of 1075, as being the property of the Weissenberg monastery, known then under the name of Mahalbodesheim. During the reorganization of 1972, the commune loses its independence and is integrated into Renningen. At December 31st, 2004, Malmsheim counted 6054 inhabitants.

- the airport nearest is to 22 km (Stuttgart), although there is in Malmsheim an air base of the army.
- Schwarzwaldbahn (literally, the way of the forest black ) is a line train which has stations with Renningen and Malmsheim. The S-Bahn Stuttgart (equivalent the RER) has its S6 line which stops in Renningen, Malmsheim and at the close cities Weil der Stadt and Leonberg.
