Rene de Chambrun

the count Rene de Chambrun of his true name Rene Aldebert Pineton de Chambrun (August 23rd 1906 Paris - May 20th 2002 Paris) was a French business lawyer.

Biography

He was the son of Jacques Aldebert de Chambrun (1872-1962), Lieutenant-general of army, and descended by his paternal grandmother Marie Henriette Helene Marthe Tircuy de Corcelle from Fayette.

His/her paternal uncles were Pierre de Chambrun, Charles de Chambrun and Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza

His/her mother Clara Elenor Longworth (1873-1954), American citizen, writer specialist in Shakespeare was the sister of Nicholas Longworth (1869 - 1931), eminent member of the Republican party, son-in-law of Theodore Roosevelt and chair (1925-1931) Chambre of the representatives of the United States. Of this fact it had double French nationality and American.

It makes its studies with the Collège Stanislas of Paris. He is bachelor of arts, doctor in right, graduate of the Private school of political sciences.

He specializes in the International law and becomes lawyer with the Court of Appeal of Paris and with the bar of New York.

Member of the French Stage CASG Paris, it is selected for the final of Rugby of the Championship of France against the Stade Toulousain, on February 13rd, 1927 but sick, it declines its selection.

August 19th, 1935, he marries with Holy-Clothilde (church), Josée Laval (April 2nd, 1911 Paris Paris January 9th, 1992), only daughter of Pierre Laval and Marguerite Claussat, girl of Dr. Claussat, mayor of Châteldon and appointed Puy-de-Dôme. The same year, it buys with his cousin Louis de Lasteyrie, the castle of the Barn-Bléneau with Courpalay which had belonged with Fayette. His wife and restored it to him carefully.

Mobilized in August 1939, like lieutenant with the 162 {{E}} regiment of infantry of fortress, it is affected in November as liaison officer to the English task force. Like his mother, he was doctor Honoris causa of the Xavier university of Cincinnati, president then honorary president of the company the wire of the American revolution in France, member of the Jockey Club, the French Stade, the Automobile Club of France and of the golf of Saint-Cloud.

He is buried with his wife Josée, Pierre Laval and the wife of this last, with the Cimetière of Montparnasse in Paris.
