Raise Vincent d' Indy, Charles Bordes, Alexandre Guilmant and Isaac Albéniz, secretary of the Schola Cantorum, founder of the Mutual , critical Edition musical, Rene (of Avezac) of Castéra is a Compositeur French born with Dax in 1873 and died with Angoumé, in the Landes in 1955.

Rene de Castéra took part in the activities of the Libre Esthetics founded by Octave Maus with Brussels; the majority of its works were created there, in particular by the pianist virtuoso Blanche Selva.
