Rene Montrion (1896 - 1918) is a As of aviation French of the Great War.
Biography
Born on August 7th, 1896 with Paris, it precedes the call to voluntarily engage with the 108e regiment of infantry on September 11th, 1914 and obtains a quotation in 1915.Passed in aviation as Pilote in October 1916 raises, it is promoted Caporal in February 1917 and is patented pilot the next on September 8th.
It becomes Adjudant with the SPA 48.
It enters a total of eleven victories approved (eight others are not recognized), before being killed in aerial combat by controlling a Spad XII on June 28th, 1918, close to Corcy (Aisne), overcome by the German ace Karl Meyer.
It is decorated with the Military decoration on a purely posthumous basis.
