Rene Metge
Rene Metge (born the October 23rd 1941 with Montrouge) is a racing driver French, become organizer of races thereafter. Complete pilot, it has one of the most beautiful prize lists on the Rallye Dakar with his three victories of car category.
Biography
Career
- First participation in the Championship of France of Supertourisme in 1975,
- Participations in the 24 hours of automobile Mans in particular in 1977, 1979, 1982, 1984, 1986 and in 1987,
- Participations in the Rallye Dakar as from 1981, initially as pilot then as copilot of Johnny Hallyday then of Yvan Muller (in 2007),
- 1987: Director of the Dakar Rally,
- 1992: Organization of the Harricana Raid in Motoneige,
- 1992: Organizer of the Rally Paris-Moscow-Beijing Raid,
- 2008: Organizer of the Rally Moscow-Beijing Raid.

- 1962 : Winner of the cut R12 Gordini,
- 1979: 24 hour old second of automobile Mans,
- 1981: First victory over the Dakar Rally,
- 1982: Winner of the Championship of France of Supertourisme on Rover 3500,
- 1984: Second victory over the Dakar Rally,
- 1986: Third victory over the Dakar Rally.
