Rene Laurentin
The abbot Rene Laurentin was born the October 19th 1917 with Tours (France)
Theologist, exégète, historian, specialist in particular in the Appearances mariales, he was a long time religious chronicler with the “Figaro”. He wrote many books on the appearances mariales in the world. He published about fifty works. Former expert with the Council the Vatican II, Member of the pontifical theological Academy of Rome, professor with the catholic University of the West, it is " visiting professor" in several universities of America and Italy.
The abbot Rene Laurentin received the Prix of the catholic culture the October 25th 1996: “ Rene Laurentin exerted a deep influence also in the religious culture of Italy about which he speaks the language, and in which he is listened and appreciated, just like besides in its native France. He put his energy of catholic priest at the service of a modern apostolate, in the search of apologetic for our time. Vis-a-vis the attacks carried to the faith, as well by rationalism incrédule, as by a certain sentimental “spiritualism”, this Christian fought for the reasonable character because of believing ”.
