Rene Huyghe

Rene Huyghe (Arras, May 3rd 1906 - Paris, February 5th 1997) is a writer French. He was preserving Louvre, Psychologue and Philosophe of art, professor to the Collège de France and French academician.
Biography
Rene Huyghe studies the Philosophie and the Esthétique with the Sorbonne and the school of Louvre.As of 1930, it is named preserving assistant of Paintings to the museum of Louvre, then, conservative as a chief and professor at the school of Louvre, to thirty and one years. It founds and directs the reviews the Love of Art and Quadrige .
It is one of the first to carry out films on the Art, including one “Rubens” preceded with Biennial of Venice and bases the International federation of film on Article.
During the Second world war, it organizes the evacuation of the tables of Louvre in nonoccupied zone and their protection until the Release. In parallel, it belongs to resistance in the staff of the Veny groups.
In 1950, it is elected with the Collège de France and occupies the pulpit of psychology of the visual arts. In 1966, it receives, the European price Erasme with $the Hague. It is defined as psychologist and philosopher of Article In 1974, it is named director of the Musée Jacquemart-Andre.
He chairs the international commission of experts of UNESCO for the safeguard of Venice and the artistic Council of the Museums of France. He is the father of the writer François-Bernard Huyghe.
