Rene Gillouin

Rene Gillouin (1881-1971), writer, critical Literary, Journalist and Royalist militant French.

Disciple of Henri Bergson and militant of the French Action, Gillouin is the author of many works of literary criticism (on Maurice Barrès and Jean Moréas, in particular). In 1937, he was director of the national Rassemblement and he gave his support to the mode of the marshal Pétain (with in particular Raphaël Alibert of the AF) of which he said the friend.

During the Fifties, he collaborates in the French Nation of Pierre Boutang and Michel Vivier. He will be vice-president of the Center of political and civic studies in 1960. Until its death, Gillouin counts among the militants of the French Action remained nostalgic of the Régime of Vichy and the marshal ( I were the friend of the Pétain marshal… , Paris, Plon, 1966).
