He is the son of the cabinetmaker Jacques Dubois (1694 - 1763)
Its stamp
A piece of furniture Dubois stamp is guaranteed top-of-the-range, but that necessarily does not mean that it is of Jacques Dubois father. Indeed, his/her son Rene Dubois takes the head of the paternal workshop in 1763, without changing stamp. That however does not pose a problem with the experts who can easily distinguish the pieces of furniture from the one and an other.
Its dimension
- In 1999, convenient in plating of purple wood, estampillée " Dubois" was sold for the sum of 543 000 euros.
- In March 2004, a “back of ass happiness of the day” decorated with marine landscapes, which carries the stamp of Jacques Dubois, the father, and who would however be the work of Rene Dubois the son, was estimated at 150 000 euros, in a sale with Senlis, of which it was the high-speed motorboat.
