Rene Barralis
Rene Barralis born on October 18th 1921 with Nice and dead on August 28th, 1944 in the same city is resistant French and Sous-lieutenant of the French Forces the Interior ones.
He lives, in the district of the place Garibaldi, with 8 rue Palermo (street Alfred Mortier) in a house, now replaced by a modern building.
The day of the insurrection, it carries out the group of FFI with much of heroism and it is one of the first to lose the life during a fixing with a German patrol. A plate engraved with its name, fixed on the frontage of a building of the level crossing, to the n°2 of the boulevard of Cessole, recalls to the inhabitants of the district his courage and its bravery.
Died for France, according to the letter of October 13rd, 1945, the General secretary to the War veterans.
