Rene Bansard
Rene Bansard (1904, Grandcamp-the-Baths - 1971) is a French writer.
Wire of a tradesman of Laval (Mayenne), it makes its first studies in Psalette then passed to the Immaculate-Design of Laval where it remains until 1923. Initially bank clerk then tradesman with Ferté-Macé, autodidact, archeologist, historian, collector, painter, it left a considerable work of notes and various work not published deposited today at the College library of Caen (the funds Rene Bansard). He died in an car accident.
A film, exposures were organized to commemorate its work, as well as an association, founded in 1973, and initially named " Friends of Rene Bansard" then chaired by JC Payen under the name of " Presence and research of Graal". Today association names Norman Cercle of studies of anthropology (CENA), the friends arthuriens of Rene Bansard , to see.
Association publishes social Herméneutiques , and organizes many conferences and days of studies on the topic of the rooting and the reception of the legend arthurienne to the steps of Normandy, of Maine and Brittany. It animates also a cultural and tourist circuit classified in 1991 by the government and which presents the places of the Norman scrap-metal and Maine in connection with legendary the arthurien to the country of the fairies ( Broleanez ).
