Rene-François Dumas is a French revolutionist, born with Lons-the-Salt maker in 1757, died guillotine with Paris on July 28th, 1794.

Lawyer at the time of the Revolution, it becomes one of the devoted agents of Robespierre. President of the revolutionary tribunal starting from April 8th, 1794 to replace Armand Hermann, it is as pitiless as Fouquier-Tinville.

The Thermidor 9, it joint with the insurrectionary Commune of Paris to obtain the release of Maximilien Robespierre, Saint-Just, Couthon, Bottom and Augustin Robespierre.

Stopped at the common House (the Town hall) with several of his companions, Thermidor 10, around two hours of the morning, it appears at the beginning of afternoon in front of the revolutionary tribunal, for identity check, before being guillotine, in end-of-day Revolution (current Place of the Harmony) with 21 other leaders places of which Robespierre, Saint-Just, Couthon and François Hanriot inter alia.
