Rene-Charles de Breslay

Rene-Charles de Breslay (1658-1735) is a priest, a missionary and a Canadian sulpician. Very active in the missions, he exerted his ministry as general Vicaire of Quebec.

Doctor de Sorbonne, it arrived the August 3rd 1694 and was employed with the service road of Montreal. From November 1724 in June 1731, it was cleaned of Port-Royal. In 1723, it went to the Île to the Tortas.

In a letter with the minister-secretary of state, in 1724, Mr. of Vaudreuil known as: " The P. Bresslé, missionary of the Algonquins and the Mipissingues, to the Island-with-Tortas, where it made make a church and a house, had brought a priest (Mr. Elie Duperet) who always has demeuré." there; He died in France, on December 4th, 1735.
