Renault Rodeo
The Renault Rodeo is a vehicle convertible all way, designed by company ACL and marketed by the French manufacturer Renault.
After transitory the R4 Outdoor of Sinpar, a convertible torpedo built starting from a 4L, Renault in 1970 marketing in its range of the Rodéo model decides conceived by the Ateliers of Construction of Livradois (ACL), model with plastic body inspired by the Citroen Méhari.
Drawing from the " bank of organes" of Renault (R4 GTL, R4 F 6, R 5 GTL, R6 TL, R14 TL and Estafette), as regards mechanics or accessories, these vehicles follow the risks of the production of Renault.
In July 1976, the Rodéo lose their logo ACL and recover the rhombus and the Renault mark, thus integrating into whole share the range of this manufacturer.
Rodeo 4 (1970-1981)
The Rodeo 4 is produced of October 1970 at August 1981 by ACL. It is built on the basis of frame-engine of the R4 Fourgonnette and is equipped with 845 cm ³ (4 cylinders on line cooled by water).
Rodeo 6 (1972-1981)
This model, launched in 1972, is characterized by a different front face: square headlights and calenders broader. It is equipped with the engine 1108 cm ³ of the R6 TL. In August 1979, a new motorization 1300 appears: the R5 GTL provides its 1289 cm ³, also powerful but coupleux. It is the occasion also of restyler the front face with an inspiration more " all-terrains".
Rodeo (1981-1987)
As from September 1981, a new model equipped with a more current body and simply baptized Rodéo is launched: sometimes called Rodeo 5 , it is conceived on a basis of Renault 4 GTL and has more compact dimensions. Always equipped with 1108 cm ³, it is built by the company Teilhol, new denomination of ACL since July 1978.This model is sold until May 1987 and does not know then any successor in the range Renault.
A series limited to 4 driving wheels was marketed in 1984 pennies name Rodeo Hoggar.
